Spray Painted T
A new way to spice up that T-shirt you may have a small stain on or awkward discolor spots is to spray paint some stripes on it.
Refinery29.com DIY space has a great, easy way to do this exact fun project!
all you need is:
The T-shirt
Cardboard
Spray paint (any color or brand, I like Valspar from Lowe's the BEST!)
Duct or Painters Tape 1/4 Inch and 1 inch
Scissors
Newspaper
Instructions:
1. Insert cardboard inside T-shirt (this is to prevent spray paint from leaking from front-to-back as you paint).
2. Press down strips of 1/4-inch thick masking tape in horizontal stripes, starting from the top of the sleeve hole. Don't worry about the ends—just make sure the lines are even and straight across.
3. Along and inside curve of sleeve, cover up the fabric of sleeve with 1-inch thick tape.
4. Once you're done taping along the front and back of shirt, set the shirt somewhere near ventilation.
5. Ready, set, spray! Try to make sure the spray paint goes on evenly and lightly, then set the whole thing aside to dry for at least 45 minutes. Once the front is dry, spray paint the back.
6. Remove tape, and VOILA! You have a newly done DIY shirt!!!!
